WHY COLORADO? ~
I am originally from Ohio, where as a kid I fell in love with running through thick woods and cornfields. My parents, both full of adventuresome spirit, took us on a few roadtrips "out west", which have proven unforgettable. The joy and passion I gained from those experiences brought me, as a triathlete, to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during my senior year of high school. The mountains, the sky, the communities of Colorado all drew me in. I stuck around for college at CSU and next thing I knew my parents had moved to Leadville, my sister made it to Denver, and I found myself a decent husband, a home, and a couple of tiny humans of my own.
LIFESTYLE ~
Movement and the outdoors are very important to me. The more time I can spend outside in the weather with my kids, the better. Eagle is the perfect fit, the endless bike paths speckled with parks and fellow families make every day so enjoyable. I enjoy running in the mountains, gardening, and baking. And at home, after the kids are in bed, I read.
WHY COLOR? ~
First off, I like enjoying inspired food and drink at all times of day. I appreciate Color's ability to seek, find, and meet the community; changing and adapting accordingly. Five years ago, when Color first opened, Jon and I would come out for the Tuesday group runs. Now, my three-year-old, Ocean, asks to venture to Color daily, though her favorite day at Color is run club (or any night with music and dancing). Being welcomed into and welcoming others into the Color family has shaped my experience in the valley and I'm so grateful for it.
I love that Color is ever-evolving, while continuing to make magic out of the simple.
